I have been asked if I would look at the Tarot for Steven Pearsall who disappeared on September 12th 1982. Please read the notes on this site regarding Tarot so you are aware of what Tarot hopes to do. No insight can be regarded as fact unless it is validated therefore Tarot represents possibilities in past present and future modes. Please always read information from other factual sources. There are various pictures of Steven and I have picked this one of Steven in a uniform to conduct the Tarot from meditation. My first card seems to see him linked to companions, friends or three women each with different hair colour and the month I seem to have is October on this card. The direction I am getting here is West. The number here is a three so connected to a three for whatever reason whether road route or another significance. The emphasis with this card is on water either being near water or a place with a water name. It seems to show me 'meeting with friends' or being in companionship with others whether a group or otherwise. I am placing Steven in the vicinity of his home town with this card as that is what I appear to have. The initials M or W may come up here.Perhaps the word Bell and 5 pools of water come up here. There can be a party or festival atmosphere in this card that is given and it does not seem to show me that he is alone. I am also being shown a bridge near a fast running river or water or it could just be that it is Water in the name of a place/area or road. Upright cups are not showing me anything significantly 'dark' - really they are showing me a situation where one has good company even family and friends can come into this and I am not sure if I can get past that. There is a sense of feeling disappointed about something or having some form of regret having refused an opportunity of some kind here as there is also some feeling of apathy possibly losing an opportunity to do something or being overlooked for something maybe romance or something else but Im seeing some kind of community here or reunions. If anything Im seeing a party type of atmosphere. Im being given Christmas and Holiday time. Im not sure if its a direct message from Steven's picture but that is what Im being shown if anyone understands this please let me know. As Steven is missing I found this card to be a bit puzzling because there are three people here at least but at the same time Im moving on from there and getting this sense of a real need for forgiveness or even some form of sorrow and regret. I am seeing a Tree and an island and refusing something or some opportunity or something that is offered and that is what leads to this sorrowfulness. Was there a works party or something of that nature? because this card could represent people who are toasting a situation and perhaps someone drinking too much? Im also wondering if Steven wore glasses all the time whether he had them taken away? Im also linking in some overseas travel and thats why Im wondering if there is a big influence from the picture I am using and I really do not know anything about Steven or why he is in uniform so I will ask Dee to research this. I just seem to see a movement towards lake or water or somewhere there might be a boat? The only possible negative is that people at work or companions are actually being negative or slanderous and 'leaving us out' or being praised where it is not due, so the watch you back moment might be to do with the people that are/were around him or a particular enemy that was not keen on Steven out to cause problems. That is all I can really see here ! However this could relate to someone else around Steven but someone ties in. Two people seem to vanish at the same time and it seems to me that they are linked to a 'container' and water? Im not sure if that is a vessel ie, a boat or something else? There may be drugs or alchohol here but Im feeling there is some big area of water, perhaps a lake? Steven disappeared in September but I am getting a Halloween element here - Halloween has all kinds of elements attached to it, the link to a Halloween festival is strong. Just to remind ourselves about Halloween this description is taken from Wikipedia. Typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (also known as "guising"), attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. So perhaps Im seeing 'dressing up' or people who dress up in this depiction of events but as it is not Halloween when Steven disappeared I cant be sure why Im being shown this. Clearly on the surface of it, it does not look like anything bad occurred, but maybe somebody dressed up in disguise to fool Steven? a difficult one to be honest. I am also being given keywords whether to areas or names of places and those keywords are the sea, rivers ponds - brooks, springs, wells, wash-houses, sea shores, marshy land, besides this, I am also seeing cellars and basements. I also have NORTH given here too. I am also seeing a female who if I linked her to the Moon I would consider is a mother, or a pregnant woman or she is plump. Im also getting port towns and sea shores and being the 'other side' of a river or some water landmark from home? Here I have the 8 of cups for location possibilities and this is clearly some water area again Im given West and there may be a mountain or cliffs nearby, but I would have thought this is a shoreline or a lake and there is also a movement here to the North East. There is a sense of abandonment in this picture almost like we feel we have to move on because we are 'done' where we are. Both these cards are cups so they do seem to link together quite well - but I cannot seem to see anything really negative on Steven at the moment, just that feeling of apathy and being in a group of people and then seeing this scene again of the water. The only concern is the basement or container factors and the fact that one can drown in water. There is such a sense of loneliness here so I feel the location is somewhere 'lonely'. Often there is something written like a sign or something on the wall? or a wall? This 8 might represent an area or route or have another significance. It certainly seems to show a fair headed female or a connection there. Though our card shows us movement towards the North East, we are to look North West which is where the water element is. I just sense a drowning sensation or a strong water named location. There is also a church link here, which might be a church name or road name such as priest, bishop anything that has a religious title but also perhaps it might be an actual church or a spiritual element. Sweet odours come up here, I did think of Apple but Im not completely sure. There is a possible person description in this card that could show us someone who looks straight and tall, with brown or ruddy type of complexion, oval or long face, fairly plump is what I seem to have, high forehead grey eyes which are large, auburn brown hair, possible beard and big stomach. The next card is a kitchen/restaurant or eating card. Sometimes I think of places that link to food in names such as Kentucky or something like that. However, it is foolish to guess at things like this so I will just leave the thought . Also I can see something hidden and covered in blue? hidden and concealed . As a search and find card we are given the 9 of swords and as Tarot is past present and future any of the cards shown will give elements of each of these time epochs. What has been found or searched regarding Steven I am none the wiser but when I see this card my initial thoughts are East but it is a reversed card and might bring to light another direction. The number is 9 which might be route or distance or road. Water rocks and stone as well as cement can come up with this card and the word Canyon. I feel as though it is not impossible to find Steven though it seems like a long dark tunnel after all these years, probably some of the initial ideas of what happened or where he was were all wrong and looking in the wrong place - because it will have to be all - re-thought in order to actually find him now. This card promises that 'tomorrow is a new day' so it rather makes me feel that there is a bit of optimism here and hence my feeling that all is not completely lost despite the time involved in this disappearance. The 9th month is of course September and this card seems to tell us that there have been regrettable actions but that there is still some hope here. We are also told that if there was anything or anyone that was suspicious regarding this disappearance that suspicions are likely correct. It is an incomplete symbol receiving the 9 reversed so maybe route 9 or a 9 has some significance here. There may have been cruelty as this appears to be present, illness and negativity are also here. The message is to seek assistance and really try to crack the puzzle of where Steven is as it is being offered as possible to find him. This card also brings to mind airports and hills and mountainsides, high ground possibly railways or golf courses in the vicinity and also water or the water name. Someone tall and straight and thin with dark hair and hazel eyes? West comes up here. Barns and storage areas, money names seem to come up here, such as Bank etc, bedrooms and grandparents also figure for some reason and so does a 'blanket' or some kind of cover? A Wednesday comes up and also some links to shops, markets, fairs, schools, common halls, bowling-alleys, tennis courts. Tarot cannot name a place and at the moment is in experimental stages trying to pull together enough directions and keyword descriptions to get a general idea on the map so I will pop back and post up a map that Dee generally puts together from the information that Tarot gives. There are elements here that speak of deceased people because that is a possibility showing up further along in this set of swords, at least two that I am aware of. Someone has a mental problem or is mentally disturbed. I am being shown a man who is very bad and covers up evidence and there is also a possibility of witness statements that are either missing information or they are mislaid or something is wrong with the detail or information. Also divorce and marital problems can turn up here. Black, Silver and a Bird or bird name along with Jewel, or jewelry and roses seem to come up to link in somewhere. I still feel Im seeing something underground, like a tunnel or a basement. I might be totally wrong about that but its just that feeling of 'underground' that comes at me. There might be someone with a stammer or that they are foreign come up somewhere along the line but I am not sure how. Please remember to read the information given in combination to each other. If I can think of anything else I will come back to add that. Meanwhile, hopefully something might help. I also wonder if there is a connection to sickness 'as in a place' - ie. Illinois?. I offer it anyway. It is worth bearing in mind that swords are essentially representing 'cutting' which could be something macabre or suggesting elements of separation, but either way I have to leave that as well. What we have to learn from the swords card is that in reversed mode when applying it to search and find that we will encounter some form of 'roguery' - therefore problems might appear in search of somebody and the sense of postponement is great.
