around the island on his own yesterday afternoon.
Pierre Barnes, 12, set off for the ride on Saturday afternoon, the first day of a half-term holiday.
His bike was later discovered near a coastal path with its chain off.

Emergency services were alerted and
began a search of the island and the sea at 9pm, continuing until 5am
when extreme weather conditions forced them to call a temporary halt.

SIDE COMMENT: I have to say I am extremely disturbed by the fact that it is considered that this boy might not be found. This is not what I see. This boy has EVERY chance of being found.. Searches should continue AT LEAST until Christmas.
Thats all I have to say on the matter.

The body has not yet been Identified. However, should it turn ou to be Pierre and it seems it may I am so sorry in respect of this beautiful young boy, god bless him. I was so worried people would walk away and not look for him when I knew he would be found. I was not asked to write Tarot but I did look privately and leave a sidenote to keep looking.

I hope he is found safe and well. It's odd that family are referring to him in the past tense already!! Do you think he will be found alive.
The father of a boy who went missing on a French island has told Sky News he fears he will not be found alive.
In his first British television interview, Stephen Barnes said he did not believe his son Pierre, 12, had been abducted.
Mr Barnes spoke about his "strong little boy" in the past tense as search and rescue teams scoured the island of Porquerolles for the missing youngster.
He said: "Having spoken to the police, in their mind the abduction possibility is just something they have to do in order to show they've looked at all options.
"Quite frankly if you're going to abduct someone you don't come to an island to do it, it's the worst possible place to abduct someone, nor do you go out in the teeth of a storm to try and abduct, it just doesn't make sense.
"Everyone believes, and I don't think there's much doubt, [that] the bike broke down, that he panicked, that he tried to make his way back.
"Probably he got disorientated and probably also he tried to take a short cut and found he lost the tracks which would be difficult to see in the dark.
I find it totally bizarre that the parents have given up so quickly. One news report said they are preparing to leave and go home in a few days?! If that were my son I would stay as long as possible, I could never leave knowing he was there somewhere. The island looks quiet small. Such a strange reaction. Thanks for the update. I have not written Tarot for Pierre because it is not a request. However because he was a child I did have a quick look and a question about finding him and it seems Tarot felt we should not give up. That is the comment I made. I dont think I should say anything else right now.

Yes, Hope appeared in the form of the Star Card. Clearly he was going to be found I was just concerned that the searching was going to stop and I knew that must not happen and that he would be found it they give it longer. Im glad he has been but Im very sorry as this was a very special bright little boy. Its never good when a young child is found deceased. I see there will be a post mortem so its best to update at that time.
