You guys have been played, Mary Kirchoff has known and does know where Patrick Bagley is. Mary Kirchoff has talked with Patrick daily since he supposedly disappeared, Check her cell phone records that would prove Mary Kirchoff has been in contact with Patrick.
Other related articles say that he goes missing often. When found he told police he was trying not to be found. I think this wife/girlfriend or whatrver she is is in denial that he might not want to be with her and leaves on purpose.
