So not fair, because being a single mom working at a gas station isn't hard enough. So beautiful. Sending survival energy
The search for Jessica Heeringa enters week two with very few answers to the numerous questions surrounding her disappearance. As of May 5, 2013 the Secret Service is involved in the investigation, which is an unusual development in a missing persons case. NBC Wood TV 8 shared the news, but there is no clarification to offer as to why the Secret Service would be involved in a seemingly ordinary kidnapping case. Are there elements to Jessica's disappearance that the public has not been told?
There are now multiple investigative bodies involved in the search for the missing Norton Shores, Mich. woman, but it's normal for sheriff's detectives, local police officers and FBI agents to be involved in cases where someone has been kidnapped. However, it is out of the ordinary for Secret Service agents to get involved in these types of cases unless there are special circumstances at play. Could someone on the FBI most wanted list be involved in this, or could investigators believe they are dealing with a possible serial killer? Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw told reporters with News 8 that they as many as 14 people of interest were interviewed on Saturday, but would not reveal who or anything pertaining to the investigation.
It's been made apparent that robbery was not the motive in the kidnapping of Jessica Heeringa, as the money in the register was untouched at the Exxon station where she was abducted. Her purse was also left behind with her wallet containing $400 cash. That would indicate the motive was more personal or even sexual in nature. Perhaps that's why Fox 17 has reported that officials are investigating area sex offenders for leads. This seems like something that should have been done from the first day, but it's been a whirlwind investigation the past few days with several persons of interest investigated, questioned and cleared over the course of the past week.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – A federal investigator has offered his services in the effort to find missing Jessica Heeringa, 25, of Muskegon, as the investigation pushed on this morning, May 6.
The agent will focus on cell phone data that will hopefully lead to Heeringa’s suspected abductor, police said.
Heeringa, a young mother who was working at the Sternberg Exxon in Norton Shores as a night clerk, has been missing since April 26. Police believe she was abducted from the gas station toward the end of her shift. The extensive search continued this morning, police said, and now includes help from a U.S. Secret Service official.
“A member of the U.S. Secret Service with ties to the area volunteered his services to help find Jessica. We took him up on the offer. He has been assisting with data analysis and we truly appreciate his help,” said Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw.
The federal agent, who works out of the Detroit office, but is originally from Muskegon County, will specifically work on analyzing cell phone data, Shaw said.http://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/index.ssf/2013/05/jessica_heeringas_abduction_in.html
