No Sign of Man Reported Missing on Feb. 13
Nashua Police confirmed a city resident has been reported missing, but have not launched a criminal investigation into his whereabouts.
According to family friend Karla Gonzalez, Dagualberto Arzuaga, 43, has been missing from his Central Street home since Feb. 13.
"I'm a longtime family friend and I just wanted to get the word out," said Gonzalez, who was sharing a Nashua Telegraph story link about the missing man via her Facebook page.
Nashua Police Sgt. Phillip Nichols said there is a "missing persons" report filed, and a fire official confirmed that a member of Nashua Fire Department entered the shallow but icy water of the canal, along a walking path on Spine Road, late on the night of Feb. 13, but found no evidence that Arzuaga had entered the water.
According to the Telegraph story, Arzuaga, who goes by the name “Wito,” is about 6 feet 2 inches tall, and was wearing a black snow cap, black North Face hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and black and white sneakers when he left home at about 7:15 a.m. to walk his sister's pit bull.
The dog returned home on its own at about 9 a.m., without its leash, which was located later near a park entrance at Pine and Ledge streets.
Gonzalez added that Arzuaga has not shown up for work at his job at a 7-Eleven in Methuen, Mass.
"We're all concerned for his safety," she said.
Anyone with information on Arzuaga's whereabouts should contact Nashua Police at 594-3500http://nashua.patch.com/articles/no-sign-of-man-reported-missing-on-feb-13
