DANIEL VOYTKO
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — An 82-year-old Johnstown man hasn't been seen since Friday afternoon when his family said he left for a walk around the block.
His family is doing everything they can to try and get the word out to whoever may have seen him.
Voytko's family said he goes for a walk a couple of times a day and that's how a lot of people got to know him.
"He was a very happy-go-lucky guy, and he would talk to the people he saw along his walk. That's how everybody knew him," Voytko's daughter, Kathy said.
Kathy said her dad usually walks around the block up Corrine Street near Stayer several times a day.
Johnstown Police and his family aren't suspecting any type of foul play.
Kathy said he didn't leave the house with anything that could've made him a target. She said it seems he just simply disappeared.
His family spent much of Monday afternoon passing out flyers and hanging his picture on the windows of nearby businesses.
His family said he suffers from some Dementia, which could've played a role in why he never came home.
"The one concern is that he might have thought he had to go to work, and he used to work at the Open-hearth and Franklin. So, maybe he somehow found his way to Franklin thinking he had to go to work," Kathy said.
The family is asking that you keep an eye out for him, and if you see anything, please call Johnstown Police Dept. at 814-533-2074 or 2068.
