CORBIN WILT
37-year-old Corbin Wilt, a former law enforcement officer, was last seen Sunday evening around 7:00p.m.
When family members returned home, they could not find Wilt, but his vehicle was still at his residence.
Winfield Police Chief Danny Parker says they pinged Wilt’s cell phone Sunday evening around 10:30p.m., which gave them a possible location of just South of Cowley 18, and east of U.S. 77. That area is north of Winfield.
Parker says if anyone has seen someone walking in that area the past couple of days, to please call police right away. He is asking farmers and ranchers in the area to also check their land.
“Farmers in that area need to be extremely alert out in their pastures and creeks.”
Search crews were in that area Sunday and Monday searching, including the Kansas Highway Patrol search airplane. Family members are continued to search for Wilt Tuesday.
It is believed that Wilt might have a gun on him. Chief Parker says they are asking anyone who does see him to not approach him, just to be on the safe side.
Wilt is described as 5’6”, 190 lbs, brown hair, and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black colored tee-shirt with white writing with a coiled snake with “Don’t tread on me” printed on it and blue jeans. He is believed to be on foot.
If seen, you are asked to call the Winfield Police Department at 620-221-5555, or 911.
